Throughout the summer of 2025, come and discover the sculpture exhibition "What are monks for? by Jean-Pierre AUGIER.
The exhibition takes place in Saint Peter's chapel on the south side of the island, near the entrance to the monastery.
Jean-Pierre AUGIER finds his inspiration in old tools and iron objects, which he transforms by assembling them into moving characters or animals.
He saves from oblivion, uselessness and destruction those items that were destined to be discarded or melted down. His work transforms them to give them another life, that of a work of art.
Jean-Pierre Augier's art is all about harmony, balance, linear purity and formal perfection.
